허지혜 Jiieh G Hur
[작가소개]
허지혜는 폐종이를 손으로 찢어 물과 함께 갈아가며 끓여 만든 종이죽을 사용하여 작품을 제작한다. 작업의 형식은 조각ㆍ드로잉ㆍ음향설치 등으로 다양하게 나타나는데, 작품의 주제는 보통 눈앞에 마주친 문제, 선택 등의 시청각적 자극에서 시작된다. 경험을 기반으로 시작된 작업은 점차 구체적 형태나 내용이 녹아 사라지고 유기적이고 불규칙한 형태로 남는다. 안정과 불안정 가운데 섬세하게 균형을 유지함으로써 다양한 방향과 가능성을 탐색한 결과다.
