[작가노트]
일상 속에서 마주치는 대상들에 상상을 덧입혀 다른 시각으로 보고, 또 그 안에서 즐거움을 느껴보도록 유도하는 작업들이다. <mowing>이라는 작품은 깍이는 과정 속에서 풀들이 정리되기 전과 후의 상태가 경계면을 두고 공존하는 모습에 흥미를 느껴 시작했다. 그 안에서 보이는 입체와 평면, 선의 조화 역시 시각적으로 표현하고자 했다. <fitting in>시리즈는 나뭇잎 모양을 한 풀로 이루어진 조각이 풀밭의 비어있는 자리에 내려와 앉는 장면을 연상한 것이다. 제목이 보여주듯이 모든 생명체는 그 대상을 필요로 하는 꼭 맞는 주어진 자리가 있음을 전달하고자 했다. 즉 서로가 유기적으로 연결되어있는 존재인 것이다.

[Artist Note]
These are the works that induce people to see objects from a different perspective by adding imagination to the objects they encounter in daily lives and to feel the joy in them. The work <mowing> started with interest in the coexistence of the state before and after the weeds were cleared in the process of mowing. The harmony of three-dimensionality, plane, and line seen in it was also intended to be visually expressed. The <fitting in> series is reminiscent of a scene where a piece of grass in the shape of a leaf descends and sits on an empty spot of the same shape in the grass. As the title suggests, This work delievers the message that every single living thing has its own palce to be needed and to fit in. They are organically and perfectly connected to one another.
